Lili Tan is a self-taught, contemporary visual artist from Singapore who lives and paints in Chiang Mai, North Thailand. Her work can be seen in international collections and has also illustrated a children’s book to raise funds for children’s charity in Thailand (“Jo E Gecko” by Magali Du Parc Crosta, Available on Amazon).
“I express my dreams and whimsical musings; the magic, joy, pain and beauty of everyday life and my inner consciousness with strong, bright acrylic colors or oil paint to express a child-like wonder. I enjoy experimenting with different techniques and media (including sculptures in paper and plaster). I tell stories in my paintings or present a scene and situation caught in a moment of time and space.”
