Bali Dance Workshop, August 1-15
In her video, Ayu Ramayani, manager of Taman Permata Hati Orphan Day Center in Bali says, “Come again to our center.” GloCAP is doing just that!
On August 1, Artistic Director, Suzanne Grégoire, is returning for a second year. Named “Sun-Light”, the two week dance experience explores the ever-changing qualities of light.
“I’m excited to go back and build an artistic community, further develop those relationships and cultural exchanges,” Suzanne says. The workshop concludes with a dance performance on August 15.
Ayu Ramayani speaks about how last year’s dance studio created a new confidence in the boys not only during the workshop and performance but beyond. The change in these young men is enduring.
Thailand Dance, Song, Music and Art Workshop, August 16-30
GloCAP is excited to return to the Children’s Shelter Foundation, Chiang Mai, Thailand, in August for our 16th year of artistic partnership.
Artistic Director, Suzanne Grégoire, will be joined by Lori Ada Jaroslow, Actor/Singer/Writer/Director/Educator, volunteering with GloCAP for the first time. We are excited that she is joining the four-person team.
As for several years, the team is enhanced with local artists Worawuth Srakaeo and Natchai Posrila, both experienced in working with young people and inspiring art.
The workshop will combine dance, song, music and art. Lori will have students showcase two new songs: in English “Light Sings” and in Thai “Love at Sundown”.
The workshop culminates in a performance on August 29.

Kindiri, Chad, Dance and Art Workshops, September
GloCAP CEO, Clamra Celestin, will facilitate two workshops in Kindiri in September, one dance and the other art. These will be hosted by the school that GloCAP has helped to construct over the years.
“The kids were so excited after the last workshop and were asking for more,” Clamra said. Dance and art are not normally on the school curriculum in Chad so this is a novel experience.
The elementary school will be enhanced for the first time with a high school opening in September for 22 students. “We will try to work with students across all grades.”
